|I'm just bored and want to RP, so yeah. If you want to delete this thread and plot first or something, I will take no offense| Emily Bryens People dressed in black and painted in a different array of tattoos wandered past the black haired Dauntless member, often jogging to reach their destination. She sat on the ledge at the side of The Pit, running a sharp dagger under her fingernail to rid herself of the debris that had settled there. Long hair tied back with a black hair band, Maria's form looked like it barely belonged, with her black dauntless jumpsuit and black shoes, accentuated with her black hair and black eye shadow. The newest Dauntless Initiates had just arrived, Marlia had realized a few days prior. She thought back on the days when she herself had been an initiate, keeping a low profile but high enough to qualify as one that could be seen simply as her being a "greater warrior". Marlia also remembered the fear chamber, and how difficult it felt to pretend she didn't know how to escape; to act in a way that would qualify her and yet not give away her secret. Were there any of this year's initiates similar to her, or would she remain alone?
|Which brings me to the subject of, are there jobs in this RP? And if so, do you need any Initiate Trainers, cuz I'll volunteer Marlia|

(No, it's completely fine! And yes, we do have jobs. It's just kind of first come first serve, so sure!)
Emily walked through the pit, looking at each shop carved into the walls. Tattoo parlours, clothing shoppes... It had been a few days since she had first jumped off the ledge of the old building into the compound. She still hadn't quite adjusted from the more laid-back Erudite lifestyle. She still wore her large-framed glasses, with her hair tied back in a blue ribbon. She needed to be more "out there," more, well, Dauntless. Lost in thought, she almost didn't notice when she tripped over someone's feet. Catching herself just before hitting the ground, she pulled herself up and looked at the person she had tripped over. A girl holding a dagger, clothed all in black to compliment her raven hair stared back at her. "Sorry!" she apologized, Backing up just a little.

Marlia looked up and smiled. "Oh, no, it's fine," She assured, setting the dagger on the ledge beside her.The Divergent lent a hand to shake, hopeful that her slightly-Amity nature wasn't acting up, as a true Dauntless may have snapped much more. "I'm Marlia, one of the tattoo artists. Which is kinda ironic considering I have no tattoos myself. You're a new initiate, right?"

Emily was suprised at the Dauntless, who was very friendly for the fact she had been holding a dagger. The Dauntless held out her hand, and Emily shook it quietly. She continued to listen, hearing as the Dauntless said her name was Marlia. "I'm... Emily," she said. "And yes, I'm a new initiate."

Marlia bounced her head a little. "Cool. What stage in training?" She asked, trying to sink more into her Dauntless nature. Her hopes that this girl was like her were real, but the threat that she wasn't was more, and Marlia knew that. So, she tried to take precaution.

"Ah... still in physical training," Emily replied. She shifted a bit, thinking. There was something a bit... different about this Dauntless, just like there was something a bit different about herself. (Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've had a lot of stuff, and sorry for short post. I am very lacking muse. And just FYI Emily is sorta Divergent but not quite, she has aptitude for 2 factions instead of 3+)

|In the books/movie as long as you had more than one faction in aptitude, you were divergent. Tris was just special | Marlia smiled slyly and stood. "Had outside of arena training, yet? I mean, have you gotten into any fights? 'Cause they're common here." She slides the dagger back into it's sheathe and took a glance around to the other Dauntless; wrestling, drinking, arguing, and plain walking by.|Gah, I just remembered that I was going to be a Dauntless trainer, but forgot Oops. Who knows? It might come into the RP..|

(Okay, yeah, I couldn't really remember... plus she doesn't really know, it shall be revealed at some point. Her test administrator just sorta told her "you're dauntless" and stuff) Emily half smiled. "No, no fights... yet. But most of the other initiates have." She shifted a bit. She had felt different than the other initiates from the very beginning, but she didn't know why. She was Dauntless, according to the Aptitude Test, so why wasn't she the same as the others? (And it's okay, haha Maybe it will come in.)

|Yeah. And, if this next part works out, maybe Emily could recommend Marlia? Just a thought...| "Well, I'm a bit rusty. If you want, we could have a little spar? I mean, no actual hits, if you prefer, so no bloodshed, but just to train?" Marlia suggested, quickly regretting it in her Amity world. Somehow, the girl had ended up with an aptitude for Erudite, Dauntless, and Abnegation. She didn't get Amity, although that's where she was from, she just always had their culture in her heart. Three factions. Easily seen. It was a dangerous world out there for Marlia. But, facts aside, she tried her best to seem.. normal, around the other Dauntless, and wanted to see what the initiate's skills were at this point.

"Okay," Emily replied. It might help her to get some practice, especially with a full-blown Dauntless instead of just one of her fellow initiates. After all, she was ranked in the lower half of the transfers right now, and she needed to raise her score if she had hopes of staying out of the factionless. (Yeah, maybe. Sounds cool.)

Marlia nodded and took a stance, one leg back for support and strength and the other out front, but separated at just the right distance so she couldn't be easily tripped. One hand up,in a fist, to shield her face, and the other out on front to block the blows, and to strike. "You first. I'll block."
